Professor Stacie Goddard
U.S. China Relations: Possible Futures
Professor Goddard will present an overview of U.S.-China relations and how interactions between these powers might reshape security, economic and political institutions in the 21st century, covering possible flash points as well as areas of potential cooperation between the two great powers.
Stacie E. Goddard is professor of political science and incoming director of the Madeline Albright Institute at Wellesley College. Her most recent book, When Right Makes Might: Rising Powers and World Order, was published by Cornell Studies in Security Affairs in 2018 and her first book, Indivisible Territory and the Politics of Legitimacy, Jerusalem and Northern Ireland, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2010. Her articles have appeared in International Organization, International Security, International Studies Quarterly, International Theory and Security Studies, Foreign Policy, The Washington Post and The New York Times.
